There is something deeply beautiful about a man who speaks through music. When words fall short, you pick up your saxophone โ and suddenly, everything that needed to be said fills the room.
We have grown up listening to you play. That sound is woven into our earliest memories, our warmest evenings, our most peaceful moments at home. Your music is part of who we are.
Today, as we celebrate you, we hope the music never stops โ because as long as you play, we know everything is right in the world.
Straight from our hearts to yours
"My beloved, as we celebrate another year of your life, I am reminded that 'even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you' (Isaiah 46:4). God has carried us through every season, and He continues to sustain you with His strength.โ Jane (Mummy)
You have been my partner, my rock, and the love of my life. Like the righteous man in Psalm 92, you 'shall still bring forth fruit in old age' and remain 'fat and flourishing' (Psalm 92:14). Your wisdom, your love, and your faith continue to bless our family abundantly.
'Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths' (Proverbs 3:5-6). You have lived this truth, and God has directed every step of our journey together.
May you continue to 'mount up with wings as eagles', to 'run, and not be weary', and to 'walk, and not faint' (Isaiah 40:31). Happy birthday, my love. I thank God for you every single day."
"Dad, 'the just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him' (Proverbs 20:7). You have walked in integrity all your life, and we are truly blessed to be your children. Everything I know about being a man, I learned from watching you. Thank you for being the best example I could ever ask for. Happy birthday, Dad."โ John Osbert
"Dad, 'like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him' (Psalm 103:13). You've shown me what a father's love truly means. You've always been my biggest supporter and my safe place. I'm so proud to be your son. Wishing you all the joy in the world today and always."โ Nhyira
"Dad, 'the LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children' (Psalm 115:14). You are the reason I know what real love looks like. Thank you for every hug, every lesson, and every moment. Happy birthday, Dad โ we love you so much."โ Michelle
"Dad, 'children are an heritage of the LORD' (Psalm 127:3). You're the best! You always make me laugh and you give the best hugs. I love when we spend time together. Happy birthday! I love you so much!"โ Arabel
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
โ Numbers 6:24-26With all our love,
Mummy, John Osbert, Nhyira, Arabel & Michelle
